The School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Mizoram University, Aizawl, is a constituent academic school of Mizoram University, a Central University. Established in 2007, the school was created to develop higher education and research in engineering and technology within Mizoram. It has since expanded into a multidisciplinary technical school with six departments covering engineering, information technology and food technology.
The school currently comprises the Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Food Technology. The academic structure includes B.Tech programmes across the engineering disciplines, along with postgraduate and doctoral programmes in selected departments. The school states that each B.Tech programme has an intake capacity of 30 students, with admissions using JEE Main and the Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination for applicable seats.
