Mizoram University Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), commonly presented through the MZU Online platform, is the dedicated academic centre of Mizoram University for delivering education through online and distance-learning modes. The centre is based at Mizoram University's Aizawl campus and is headed by a Director of CDOE. Official university records identify the centre as the unit responsible for Mizoram University's online programmes.
Mizoram University is a Central University, and its CDOE extends the university's academic offerings to learners who pursue higher education through flexible online learning. The centre's current university webpage lists undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas including commerce, business administration, management, education and psychology.
The current programme structure includes three-year undergraduate programmes such as B.Com (e-Commerce), B.Com (e-Accountancy & Tally) and BBA (e-Business), together with two-year postgraduate programmes including M.Com, MBA specialisations, MA Education and MA Psychology. Mizoram University's admission notice confirms the programme offerings and identifies the university's Samarth portal as the admission platform for the online courses.
MZU Online therefore provides an alternative mode of accessing university-level education while retaining the academic identity of Mizoram University. The centre's online-learning framework is supported by the university's digital systems and is subject to the regulatory framework of the University Grants Commission's Distance Education Bureau. UGC advises students to verify the recognition status of the institution and specific programme for the academic session in which they seek admission.
