College of Forestry, Ponnampet is a government forestry education and research institution located in Ponnampet, Kodagu district, Karnataka. The college is currently governed by the University of Agricultural Sciences, Mandya (UAS Mandya). Its history can be traced to the forestry degree programme introduced by the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru in 1985. The programme was subsequently shifted to Ponnampet in Kodagu and was upgraded to college level in 1995.
The institution has undergone changes in its university administration over the years. It came under the administrative control of the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga in 2012 and was subsequently associated with the renamed Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences. Since the establishment of UAS Mandya in 2025, College of Forestry, Ponnampet is governed by UAS Mandya.
