College of Agriculture, Hassan is a constituent agricultural institution of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore (UAS Bangalore). The college was established in 1996 as part of the effort to expand agricultural education into rural areas. Initially, classes were conducted at the GKVK campus in Bengaluru before the Hassan campus at Karekere was established in 2006. The campus is located approximately 20 km from Hassan city on the Bengaluru–Mangaluru highway.
The college offers undergraduate education in agriculture and allied fields. Its current academic programmes include B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Tech. Biotechnology and B.Tech. Food Technology. Postgraduate programmes have also been introduced in areas including Agricultural Entomology, Food Processing Technology, and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
